This is in reply to your letter of August 29, requesting detail information on the topic of banking services among the subjects of discussion tentatively suggested for the fifth Chinese-French Cooperation Conference.
First of all, we would like to point out that the inclusion of the topic of banking services in the agenda for the Conference is not final. It still depends on the composition of the French delegation which is not yet known to us. EATO, which is responsible for organization of the fifth conference, will call a preparatory meeting in October to discuss in detail the proposed subjects to be discussed during that conference. On the Chinese side, we have tentatively proposed the following topics: cooperation respectively in electronics, biotechnology and environmental protection. The French side has not yet made known to us the subjects they want to raise for discussions.
